Dear VC Community,
Out of consideration for the health risks presented by rising COVID-19 cases in Victoria this winter, the Victorian Collections team have made the decision to reschedule Victorian Collections Day to a later date.
Victorian Collections Day 2023 will now take place on Tuesday 12th of September.
We would like to take this opportunity to remind all of the VC Community that Victorian Collections Day is a wonderful opportunity to meet and socialise with other members using Victorian Collections and the VC Team, as well as to engage in ideas and topics of value to smaller collecting organisations.
Our rescheduled springtime VC Day will be held at the beautiful Buda Castlemaine, with a theme of Sharing Victorian stories: inspirations and considerations for collection storytelling. The day will feature talks relating to this theme from Robin Boyd Foundation, Arts Centre Melbourne, Royal Historical Society of Victoria and members of the VC Team.
With tickets inclusive of morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, and the day featuring prizes and a tour of Buda Castlemaine’s house and gardens, we encourage members of the VC Community to book early to avoid disappointment as capacity limits apply.
Tickets for VC Day are available via the AMaGA Victoria website.
All community members who have already booked their ticket will be contacted directly to discuss their options and preferences regarding this reschedule.
